The Masters rolls on today, its final day, with an excellent clash that will mark the end of what has been a thrilling, climactic weekend.
Mark Williams and Judd Trump will be heading into the anticipated match, with Williams looking forward to his first appearance in the final of the Masters since 2003 after a 6-0 rout of Jack Lisowski in the first semi-final.
Williams suffered a major semi-final defeat to Neil Robertson just last year but has since massively improved, saying on Eurosport: “I’m enjoying it, I’m in another final, especially after last year."
He continued: “A lot of people said ‘How would you get over that?’ As soon as I walked out I was over it and I’m back in the final now.
“It’s easy to win but when you lose you have to get over it. I’ve never been worried. If I lost 6-5 from 5-0 up, it wouldn’t have made any difference. I would have said ‘best of luck Jack’ and move on.”
Trump also beat 2020's Masters champion, Stuart Bingham, 6-1 on Saturday evening in what was widely considered to be a very tense match.
Eyebrows have already been raised in the tournament following the elimination of Robertson and No.3 seed Mark Selby by relative underdog opponents.
